  • Empirical studies: The research design is of high quality and clearly explained, including well-defined questions, data sources, data collection procedures, and analytic methods.
  • State-of-the-art reviews: These should provide a thorough and comprehensive review of the current state of the topic, identifying key trends and gaps in the existing literature.
  • Position papers: These should present a well-argued perspective or stance on a specific issue, backed by relevant evidence and reasoning.
  • Reviewers also make a holistic recommendation to accept, accept if there is space, or reject, and are encouraged to offer open-ended feedback for the submitter.
